We’ve made a small but helpful change to how you create Evaluations—especially when starting from a Contact record.
What was the issue?
Previously, creating an Evaluation from a Contact would result in an error: “You must provide a value for Name” This happened because the Evaluation Name field was required, and unlike when creating from a Booking, the name didn’t auto-populate.
What’s changed?
- The Evaluation Name field is now optional, so you won’t get blocked by that error anymore.
- When you select or update the Booking on an Evaluation:
- The Departure field will automatically populate (so the Evaluation is visible from the Departure record).
- The Evaluation Name will auto-fill with the Booking Name—just like it does when creating from a Booking.

You can create Evaluations from:
- Booking
- Contact
- Guest
- Departure
