Summary
The Bulk Cost Editor is now available to all users with improved synchronization, interface behavior, and accurate date handling.


NOTE: Bulk Cost Editor should only be used for Trips and Departures built specifically for Planner 2.0. Both manual costs and Vendor Service costs are supported. Attempting to edit costs associated with a Planner 1.0 Trip or Departure may cause a corruption of data.


Issue Details
The BCE was previously limited to early adopters. Initial feedback identified that edited costs remained selected (blocking the toolbar), cleared text didn't always sync to Planner 2.0, and accommodation checkout dates sometimes displayed incorrectly on the Planner board due to time zone differences.


Resolution

  • General Availability: The BCE dashboard is now enabled across all production environments via the Trip form navigation.

  • Toolbar Improvements: Costs are now automatically deselected after saving to keep toolbar buttons active for the next task.

  • Full Text Sync: Clearing fields on the Description or Itinerary tabs in the BCE now successfully wipes the text from the underlying record in Planner 2.0.

  • Date Accuracy: Checkout dates for new accommodations now display on the correct day on the Planner board regardless of the user's local time zone.
